Most of the more complex poker games, however, require at least a few rounds of betting. During each round, the player must ponder the appropriate move. For example, is it better to raise, call or fold? If the answer is yes, the next step is to show and tell. That is the fun part of the poker game.
The game is sometimes called the National Card Game of the United States. However, it is not clear what its origins are. It is believed to have been taught to French settlers in New Orleans by Persian sailors. The game has spread to other countries, mostly as a result of the U.S. military.
